The whole earth is quaking in preparation of Christ’s return. Even though no one knows the exact time and day that Christ will return, we are able to look at the signs of the times. It is no secret, or at least it shouldn’t be…Jesus is coming again soon! The question we all need to ask ourselves is if we are ready? Are you individually ready to meet Him and also corporately as a church body ready to meet Him?

There has been this idea of extreme grace that has swept our nation. It hasn’t been just one particular denomination or another, it has widely penetrated the church as a whole. There is a very casual approach to Christianity, God, and towards the church. Living however you want, coming and going as you please is not true Christianity. Sin is sin and has no business in the life of a believer. We need to be actively striving to live holy not just casually permitting anything and everything.

In 2 Peter 3:14 in the Amplified edition says, “So, beloved, since you are looking forward to these things (Christ’s Return), be diligent and make every effort to be found by Him (at His return) spotless and blameless, in peace [that is, inwardly calm with a sense of spiritual well-being and confidence, having lived a life of obedience to Him]. Notice that we are to make every effort. Can you honestly say that you’ve make every effort to obey the Lord?

1 Corinthians 3:11-13 in the Amplified edition says, “According to the [remarkable] grace of God which was given to me [to prepare me for my task], like a skillful master builder I laid a foundation, and now another is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is already laid, which is Jesus Christ. But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stone, wood, hay, or straw, each one’s work will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work.” This verse says it will be tested by fire, can your life withstand the flames? If you were to honestly assess your life, are you fire proof? Is your life full of the kind of quality, character, and worth the Bible says we are to have?

If your life is not where it should be, there is still time. The day is drawing near and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to partake of His goodness and grace. I encourage you to repent quickly and turn your heart towards Him. It’s time to get our lives to fire-proof status; let’s live for Him will all diligence and making every effort to obey Him.
